installation at iona foundation

December 20 the installation ‘Heart of the House’ was inaugurated by Andrea Davina at Iona Foundation in Amsterdam. Maria Rus Bojan wrote the curatorial text that can be read on this website under ‘exhibitions.

Iona Foundation is an anthroposophic foundation that aims for spiritual, cultural and social development. Iona acts on the  intersection of the creation of values and society. Iona supports projects that have a unique and integral approach towards man and world. The theme Moving together, connecting Movement plays an important role. The foundation wants to promote the power of initiative and stimulates social renewal. Hope and trust appear where there is and integral, social and circulair approach to change, respecting earth and humanity. The foundation is committed to make anthroposophy more accessible. There is a wish to collaborate with organizations with similar ideals concerning education, agriculture and nutrition, healthcare and art.

Andrea Davina is specialised in art by female artists and a forefighter for equal representation in Museums, she is a board member of Iona Foundation, Director of Niemeyer Foundation.

Maria Rus Bojan is a professional curator and art advisor affiliated to IKT (International Association of Professional Curators) and AICA (International Association of Art Critics). Maria Rus Bojan has professional expertise in the field of postwar and contemporary art, specifically research and exhibitions of EasternEuropean art.

During the installation meditation mornings wil be organised on: January 7, February 4, March 4 and April 1 (Meditation with Andrea Davina) and on January 17, January 31 and February 7 (Kap-session with Caroline Girardot-Binnen)

The installation can be experienced until mid April.
